hair color - HELP!

Please help me ladies!! I'm going to put this up to a vote by whoever comments (whether it be 1 vote or 10!)

I'm either going to dye my hair ~

Ash (takes out the red/orange in Asian hair):
or Milk Tea:
I know the milk tea looks really light.. but I can leave bleach in my hair for 1 hour and it will barely make a dent in the color.... soo yea...

Here's a color chart if anyone's interested:

So please tell me which you think is better!

Thaaaaaanks :D

  1. hi sophia!! thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. i totally understand your position in terms of being passive and more accepting due to our culture. however, your bf is right. gotta speak up to get what you want! you're a paying customer so they should definitely make it how you like it. i'm a fan of customizing...just remember to do it nicely so ppl don't spit in your food...haha! and yes, we are a minority...haha!

  3. Milk tea comes out pretty dark if your hair isn't previously dyed or lightened, so i say go with that unless your hair has a STRONG redish undertone, go with the ash one. But i think milk tea has a bit of ash in it anyhow << Anyways, i think you would look cute with a lighter hair color :)

  4. Definitely the milk tea. Once I got a full foil gone wrong (too much ashy toner) and a client called me the "gray fox" at work.

  7. Milk Tea is good for dark hair going light! When my hair was blonde it was lighter then Milk Tea and I wanted to use that to tint it a soft brown but I ended up with green. =[

  8. milk tea brown! the ash looks scary and grey D: i used a light brown colour and it barely lightened my hair after 1.5 hours in so it should look pretty on you ^__^

  9. Hmm, Milk Tea is probably good since summer is coming up and you will look bright and bouncy :) I've never seen Ash before but I'm sure that'll look nice too :D I am so indecisive! But since there will be more sun in the coming months, going lighter might look great :)

  12. ^Serenie OMG green >.< I remember the post you did!

Angie ~ the grey does look scary doesn't it? That's one thing I'm hesitant about the ash.. and I already bought that one too haha!

Jen ~ good point on the season! Maybe I'll save the Ash for late fall/winter :)

I'm really out of touch with hair trends and all, and I wasn't sure if light brown hair was like a no-no these days.

  14. Unnie, Milk tea won't really show as much. So if you're looking for a more subtle change then I say go for the milk tea. I actually left mine on for about an hour & my hair is like a choco brown. Anyways, if you're looking for a more unique look? then, I say go with the Ash. But, that will depend on what color you have on now because if you have naturally lighter hair color then Milk tea might actually look nicer ;)

Anyways, regardless of what you chose, I'm sure you'll look amazing <3

  16. milk tea for sure! although the other one is kinda cool looking...hey guess what! i went to sf today! my bf surprised me and didn't tell me we were going til the last minute, or else i wouldve let you know! but i found this store in chinatown that sold all these cosmetics, face masks, and the palty hair dye! but stupid me, i didn't buy any of it! i went to the mall thinking i would find something there that i would rather have, and then i didnt :( but i guess this just means when we meet up we'll have to go together!!!! yay! :)

I'd vote for Ash just because it looks so unique! But I'm sure you'll look hella good with Milk Tea brown hair as well :)

  22. I think it's just the coloring on the box that makes the Jewelry Ash look grey. I guess they just want to emphasize that there won't be any red showing through haha because why would anyone want to dye their hair if it's going to look grey like hair that turns grey naturally when you're aging?! haha if that's the case, might as well just wait until you are old and you will naturally achieve that grey color xD A lot of times, color representations on boxes are not always true to the real color you end up with, so I think this is the case with this Ash color. I think you should save this for Fall/Winter then, when you want to go dark :)

But as for now, since summer is coming up, you should go lighter, so dye it Milk Tea ^_^ I've seen pics of girls with dark brown to brown hair who have dyed their hair with Milk Tea, and it looked nothing like the color on the box. It came out a warm brown, but not nearly as light as the model's. I think that if you want it to look like the model's you'd have to bleach your hair separately, too. @_@

Can't wait to see what your new hair color looks like! :)
