my 3 step smokey eye (lashes optional)

Another attempt at simple smokey eye.

Eye products used:
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in "Pots and Pans"
Bare Minerals shadow in "Brocade"
L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner in "Carbon Black"

Steps:
1. Apply NYX pencil over lid.
2. Apply shadow over where you applied Step#1.
3. Line eyes

I blended with my ring finger.

*Optional: false lashes :)

Lips: NYX Summer Love

Next, I really want to take a shot at the look that frmheadtotoe blog did on Boa's makeup. I really liked the eye makeup, and thought it completely transformed their face! Somehow it made Boa look really similar to Ayumi Hamasaki..almost EurAsian (in Ayumi's case it's 'cause she's undergone so much surgery! Idk if Boa's had surgery...). Is it just me or do you think so too?

  6. Blending is the key to smokey eyes and you did a masterful job! There is a huge conspiracy about BoA and whether she did, or didn't. I don't think she did, in my opinion. I'm also not a fan of her music so that opinion isn't biased or anything, lol!

    I love NYX products!

  7. ^Thx Erynn :) I've never done a silver look before.. I like it but it seems to only look good w/matching clothing :\

Saving Capulet ~ the jumbos are good if you have dry skin like me. Otherwise I heard that they kinda melt? LOL.

Hanna ~ yea it's hard to tell! With powerful photo/video editing tools these days, and loads of makeup, anyone can be transformed w/o surgery!

    ^Thx ladies :)

  8. OOHHhH definitely try Jen's BOA look. I did her Son Gain look from Brown Eyed Girls. Her vids are so easy to follow and most of the products she uses are affordable. She tends to use NYX eyeshadows and you know how easily we have access to NYX!!!

P.S. Did you want my jumbo eye pencils? They don't work for me :(

  9. ^Susy! Yes I'll def give the Boa look a try! Thx for offer on jumbo pencils, but I'll pass-- I own 2 and this was like my 2nd time using it!

  10. Miss Sophia looking prett as always!
This look is so elegant and it seems simple enough to follow. Does the NYX jumbo sick smear though? I'm loving your tank as well. I don't see many Asian girls wear animal print. Maybes that's just in my area but I really like that top on you. =P

I'm excited to see your Boa look. I'm sure you're going to rock it. I totally agree with you on how it made her look Euroasian. I thought I made Jen look that way as well. Gave her eyes and face that extra pop.

    <3s Serena.

  11. ^Hey Serena! I hear it smears if you have oily skin. I have dry skin so makeup tends to stay really well on me (ex: ELF shadows last all day on my lids). The tank is from Hong Kong! Lol maybe it's popular there :)

  20. I like the smokey eyes! Amazing how it looks like there was more steps involved when actually you only had to use a few products. Btw, I'm digging the leopard prints! Meow* I would love to see the Boa-inspired look.. hmm I'm not sure but I *think* she looks about the same?
