Sometimes it's fun to design something exactly how you want it. Also, when you DIY you can use higher quality materials like sterling silver, gold filled, or solid gold if you like so it will last longer.
Here are just a few items I purchased recently to put together earrings and necklace.
briolettes from
I got these gorgeous milky opal pictured below, rose, and aqua!
from ebay.com
I highly recommend the following sites for ordering parts:
~carry millions of beads, Swarovski crystals (YES they're real..how silly that people think there's "fake" Swarovski LMAO), findings, chain, pearls. FREE shipping no matter how little you order.
~carry many unique pieces, and also carry ready made pieces by tons of DIYers.
Thanks for the links!:D

I dabble in a lot of things but for some reason never really considered trying to make jewelry. Somehow it seems like you have to buy a lot of tools and supplies and invest in a lot of storage... plus I'm not creative enough to think of cool designs :)
ReplyDeleteFrom the blogger preview I thought those were the shells Ping brought back from Cabo for you to craft with, lol!
ReplyDeleteI am also not creative nor nimble enough to make jewelry. I took so many sewing/fashion design classes and look at how that paid off....not well.
I have never in my life making an attempt to DIY jewelry (not once). You're talented. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am actually about to launch my own jewelry line! Crazy! Making jewelry is a lot of fun. I have been doing it for years, but didn't think to share it with the public until now.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried to DIY jewelry before - but can't wait to see what you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I love the ocean beads :D You make such pretty jewelry, Sophia :)
ReplyDeleteSophia I love the briolettes! Love the milky color...did you get the pink ones too??
ReplyDeletePAG -- lol! those seashells are sitting in my room. I think my bf likes them more than me. He always gets ideas in his head about what looks good on me...like a fedora hat.
These charms look so cute! I can't wait to see your DIY necklace!
ReplyDeleteI love craft making and DIY projects but never tried jewelry before. With the availability of online diy tools and tons of inspiration, it would be fun to give it a try. Can't wait to see your new creation.
