I'm an old lady

*Le sigh*

Sooo, I haven't gone clubbing in like a year, and I feel like clubbing is a sign of youth and coolness, lol. It used to be like, "Oooh I'm going clubbing!" and "Take pics to let the world know I go clubbing YEA!" Hehe ok, maybe not like that, but do some of you kinda know what I mean?

Anyways, I will tell you with no shame that I am a homebody, and I like the so-called boring things in life, like reading and watching movies at home wearing my bathrobe in bed. But, it's a girlfriend's birthday tonight and so off to a club we go! I guess my beef with it is that I don't feel like skanking myself out? And I feel the "dresscode" calls for being skanked out? And my past experiences, even in higher end places, is that we ladies are basically trying to out-dress the other ladies and impress the dudes (even if only to give them a condescending sneer and call them creeps or pervs to our gfs.. but oh look! they're giving me attention which means I'm pretty and desireable). And because clubs get crowded, I REALLY REALLY can't stand when I feel another person's sweaty skin touch mine, or a girl's hair touch me. ICK ICK ICK get the F#$* away from me!!!!!! I mean, don't get me wrong, the dancing part I do like, and hearing my favorite song blasting out of a good sound system is awesome.. but I feel that the stuff I don't like outweighs that.

But enough of me complaining like a baby.. I should be happy to spend time with my girlfriends and try my best to ignore the ickies ^_^

For you clubheads, tell me how you make the most of your clubbing nights out and how you ignore the sweaty skin and other icky stuff?

And are there any other girls out there who feel the same as me??

F21 liquid eyeliner + luv package + dinner

Wow for awhile I was addicted to making a post everyday! But this post will have more than enough pics to make up for missing several days hehe ^_^

First want to do a review on Forever 21 eyeliner - this is from the beauty line called "Love & Beauty". I give it 5 stars!!! It cost me $2.99 online.. YAY for bargain! I love the felt tip applicator - it makes application SO easy, and you can apply it VERY lightly. All other ones I've tried took much longer to apply, and I had to apply more pressure (not good for your eyes!). And -- this DOES NOT smudge!!! I did a test too, by putting the liner on my hand, then vigorously rubbing for 10 seconds:

bottle

felt tip

applied on hand

liner on my hand AFTER rubbing it vigorously for 10 seconds!! NO SMUDGE YIPPEE!

particles on the finger that rubbed the liner..as you can see, some flaked off, BUT it did not smudge! BIG plus for me ^_^

Pic taken at END of the day. No panda eyes for me! Excuse all the sunspots etc.. been trying to let my skin breathe..

Another pic at END of the day.

Here are the other brands I currently have:

ALL except the N.Y.C. one smudge terribly, making me look like a sad and angry panda >.<>

And, what pisses me off, I paid a lot (well, to me it is!) of $$ for the Bobbi, and the Benefit... and the Bobbi one especially pisses me off! $25 and you dry up on me, and are hard to apply. WHAT.THE.EFFFFFFF $@*&^(!?!?! I have lost faith in pricey makeup counters.. they continually disappoint me :(

Brands I've tried in the past that smudged (and not pictured above):
*Shiseido (such a disappointment, cuz I thot they'd make for Asians.. you know how we get panda eyes!!)
*Revlon Colorstay (works for my sister, but not me)

K, enough about that. Clearly I like the liner haha.

Oooh on Saturday, I opened my mailbox to get a lovely surprise from Nikki! My first ever love package ^o^ ! THANK YOU Nikki you are truly a sweetheart, and can't wait for lunch in March :)

Hehe we're chingoos!!

See the 2 BB cream samples?!?? I've never tried BB cream.. I'm torn between holding on to them and actually trying them out. And my oh my look at all the HK!!

And finally, I have to put up food pics from a dinner my good friend Mary hosted. She was my sponsor when I went through RCIA (rite to enter Catholic church.. I was baptized but never received Confirmation or Eucharist). She is a wonderful hostess, something I hope to be one day when I have dinner parties!

Appetizer: apple + onion baked on puff pastry

I love her table setting! Marimekko tablecloth.. Mary is Finnish :)

South American beef + hominy stew, with yogurt, cilantro and lime. We each had our own guacamole bowl + chips too ^_^ It was mm mm gooooood lol.

Forever21 - cheap shoe accessory

For $5.80, you can change the look of your shoe (and outfit!). I saw shoes like this in Korea, except that the rosettes were sewn on. I clipped these on today, and it totally changed my outfit. I love gold accents. I think they're elegant, and sophisticated. These aren't too over the top for the workplace too :) To change it up, you could clip it on to the back of the shoe, or maybe on the side right below the ankle. Or clip on to a purse? lol. Right now, Forever 21 only has 2 styles of shoe clip-ons, but hopefully other stores will follow suit and make some too! A pink bow would be nice ^_^

Also, any girls wear size 5 or smaller? These shoes here are Nine West size 5, but I had to insert a rubber thing, and there's still a gap :( I don't know where to buy shoes!! Help!!
(p.s. I felt REALLY weird taking pics of my feet in my office haha.. esp since my cam phone makes noise!)

(p.p.s I'm tweeting now, lol http://twitter.com/kechiko)

Jessica Simpson interview + Walgreens sale item

*photo from Allure*

I don't consider myself a Jessica Simpson fan, but when I read snippet of her interview with Allure, I couldn't help but like the girl! And, this has got to be one of the best photos I've seen of her!

*quotes from www.thesuperficial.com - my FAV celebrity gossip site!*

On her weight:
"When I walk through an airport and people go, 'You're not fat!' I'm like, 'Thanks. Thanks. That's great. Good to know I'm not fat today. Thank you!' "My job is to be creative. And I'm not weighing in for anybody." --lol. this girl has a good sense of humor!

On how she'll date pretty much anybody:
"I definitely will marry an artistic man. It will show you the colors of my character, the person that I fall in love with next. I don't even have a type! I don't have a physical type.
I have an emotional type. When you have yourself together, I don't care what you look like at all. You can be tall; you can be short." --hey me too! couldn't have said it better myself :) uhm but you do have to care what you look like.. at least a little bit :p

On doing nudity:
"I don't care how dark and intellectual the role could be, you know? I don't care if I frickin' get an Oscar for it, I'm not going to do it. Those accolades mean nothing to me....
I don't think people deserve to see what's underneath my clothing. That's only for my next husband--ha ha ha!" --rock on!

On being herself:
"I don't care if the cameras are on or not, you're going to get the real me. There's no reason to mask that, because that's what has given me the chance to be in a powerful position."

Of course I had to browse the Walgreens post-Valentine's sale today during lunch! This was originally $2.39, but marked 50% off. *Yay!* Planning to use as a carrying case. Hmmm dunno what to do with the candy though, I'm not a candy eater!

My sister bakes pretty things :) and I made something too! (pic heavy... as usual :p))

Are you guys sick of pink + red yet? Hehe I'm not! Thought I'd share my sisters lovely creations from the weekend! She is UBER uber talented, and her cakes and cupcakes taste better than any boutique bakeshop I've ever tried (I used to work in a high-end bakeshop too!). I seriously can't jump on the $5 cupcake bandwagon! Like seriously, even Sprinkles doesn't even begin to compare to my sister's treats in taste and looks!

I had time this weekend to make a new earring and pendant. Have I mentioned before that I like bows + hearts? ^_~

I loooove ballerinas! In my next life I want to be a prima ballerina! I think they're so elegant and beautiful and graceful and perfect! And so so thin :) To me, they epitomize the female form.

OOTD + darkness lashes + korean food

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! I sure did ^o^ I spent the day with my mom and sister. As a surprise, we took my mom to San Jose to Trendy Bean Cafe, where they serve the best spicy dukbokki and other Korean treats, like ho dduk (fried pancake with syrup inside). We ate yangnyum chicken and mandoo too. Super delish! And can't find as good Korean food in San Francisco.

Then we went to a Korean beauty store so my sister could restock on some Shiseido. The lady at the store was so so nice. She gave my sister like 6 things of Shiseido samples (Japanese owned Shiseido only give 1-2), and gave me a sample of Korean face primer. This store also has a huge stand of fake lashes, so of course I had to buy a new pair to add to my collection! I got some dolly looking ones by Darkness - my fav of all the brands. And I went against the pink+red trend and wore all dark colors haha.

Leopard tank from Hong Kong, Target legging (gold zipper and stud on sides!), Nine West kitten heels

Leather hoodede moto jacket from Korea.

From Hong Kong with love (a haul)

My mom and sister got back from a 10 day trip to Hong Kong yesterday, and they brought back so many gifts!!! For MEEE!!!! (^o^) You will not believe how happy and excited I was when I saw the Anna Sui bag with goodies inside! I wish so badly that we had an Anna Sui here in the states! She makes such beautiful, girly, princess-like accessories and jewelry. I remember when I saw her stuff for the first time in a department store when I was in Japan... I had never seen anything like it and it was love at first sight! Who could not love her exquisite packaging and attention to detail? She completely understands a woman's need for aesthetically pleasing accessories and cosmetics.

My mom is so adorable--she asked the sales lady for an extra bag, just 'cause she knew I'd like it :)

Lipgloss. Who else would make such beautiful casing for lipgloss?

Compact, with the signature Anna Sui flower!!! It's just so beautiful!!

Goodies they threw in... these are whitening serum.

Did you guys know pa makes lashes?!? I didn't! SO happy to get these!! My sister knows me so well, and she knows exactly what I like :D

My new favorite ring. I LOOOOOVE bows (I'm sure I've said that at some point before hehe)! I now own a grand total of 3 bow rings :) Hopefully the collection will grow...

Can you see the bow on the purse? I love this purse so much! It's so hime-like, and girly. I'm sure I'll never run into anyone here carrying the same one ^_^

I asked that they bring me back milk tea. This brand is top quality, and served in some restaurants there. They actually have a stand alone store where you can buy these. I tried one today, and the ceylon tea is so delicious and flavorful!

♥loved♥

These arrived yesterday :D I ate 3 bowlfuls of fruit, and barely made a dent in this "bouquet" hehe. You can't tell from this picture, but the strawberries are GINORMOUS! I think they were injected with megavitamins or something haha! I LOVE YOU CHRIS!!!! My prince charming ♥♥♥
Took some pics wearing NYX"Harmonica" lipstick last night, and layered a blue shadow from my $1.99 Kleancolor palette over a silver NYX eyeshadow pencil to make the blue show up better (I don't have white):
Either I don't have a good base, or I don't use enough shadow, because I feel like the color is not that visible?

Nikki's doing ANOTHER giveaway :D

My blogger buddy Nikki is doing yet another giveaway, this time she'll be giving a set of BB Creams!!! Isn't that so sweet and generous of her? Hehe if it was me, I think I would keep them!

Check it out here --> Nikki's giveaway!

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't buy any beauty stuff when I was in Korea last year... I had no idea how good quality and popular the Korean beauty stuff was! Oh well I guess I can order from sasa.com if I really want something :)
